Royal Torbay YC take the top 4 places in the SW Zone Championships held at Plymouths Mount Battern centre. This is a direct result to the commitment the club has been able to put into their RS Feva Class using valuable VCC money, often matched by parents which makes it go further!

Royal Torbay’s finest Morgan Peach (13) and Herbie Harford (14) won the Zone Championships for the second year running with second place going to new sibling team Jacob (14) and Emma (12) Barnett, third to Cadet World Team member Ben Binmore and Luke McDermott, whilst fourth spot was filled with Jovian Short sailing with Jess Scourfield for this event as his regular crew was too old to qualify.

Other strong performance from the Club were Max(12) and Cody (9) Griggs who were by far the smallest competitors, Jack Hawk-Smith and Harry Ashworth also sailed out of their skins in challenging conditions with wind over tide at some points over the weekend.

Team Torquay is now looking forward to their next big event being a Grand Prix at Queen Mary Reservoir nr London.
